Associate - Miyamoto International New Zealand

Therefore, we are looking for an Associate Geotechnical or Structural Engineer, or a Construction Professional who operates at an Associate level to focus on the growth of the Miyamoto in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.

We are part of Miyamoto International, with over 70 years of experience providing seismic engineering and project services globally. Our experience and knowledge have accumulated from involvement in over 100 earthquakes. The purpose of the role is to support the growth in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regions. The role will be multi-faceted, and you will have a broad remit covering Project Management, Engineering and Business Development. You will provide effective project delivery and demonstrate excellence. You do this through effective client communication, internal project management and application of appropriate technical solutions. As an Associate, you will work on multiple jobs and some travel will be required. You will work collaboratively with our team and our clients to understand the scope of work, the project deliverables, and our client's businesses and strategic goals.

We are looking for:

  • 10 + years of practical application of principles and practices within a discipline
  • Proven experience and a track record in a consulting or construction environment
  • Senior level experience in residential and commercial design and/or project delivery
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Sound judgement, initiative and ability to self-manage
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferred but not essential A chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
