would suit current Sous, CDP and senior Commis wanting to take a step up, experience in Italian cooking not essential but an appreciation will be a benefit. A background in fine dining, upmarket bistro and high end a la carte cookery. You must be willing to learn something new, take instruction and positive criticism well. make everything from scratch with respect for the ingredients and techniques, no shortcuts...and no microwave ovens

Remuneration is in line with experience & quarterly incentives paid out for achieving agreed targets.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident-

Long-term commitment

Solid leadership skills - Be responsible and accountable

Excellence in food preparation, cooking, plating and presentation

Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies

Following food safety requirements

Manage food safety programme and staff cleaning schedules

Proven working experience as a chef

Excellent record of kitchen management

Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

Capable of delegating tasks

Excellent communication internally and externally

Be well presented and clean

Good command of English language -written and spoken
