About the business and the role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager and a Head Chef for our new cafe opening early October 2017, opposite the entrance to the iconic Cornwall Park, Auckland.

Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends.
A Food Safety Certificate is required for Chef positions and would be advantageous for Assistant Manager also.
A Managers Certificate is not required for Assistant Manager, but is advantageous.
Only NZ residents and NZ Visa holders need apply.
Job tasks and responsibilities
To oversee the service of food and beverages to all guests. Supervise payment of guests, check reservations and greet all guests on arrival. Ensure the efficient management of the cafe and maintain food, service and health and safety standards to the establishments standards. Responsible for service cafe employees in conjunction with the Manager.
Develop and maintain the menu and recipes for the establishment. Oversee and direct all aspects of the kitchen operation. Ensure that the quality of all food presented to customers meets establishment standards - providing maximum quality whilst containing labour and food costs. Supervise and manage all kitchen employees
Skills and experience
Food Safety Certificate, Managers Certificate(advantageous), Training skills, Computer skills - Microsoft, Organisational and time management skills, minimum of 3 year front of house cafe experience
NZ Certificate (Level 4) in Cookery or equivalent, minimum of 5 yrs kitchen experience, Food Safety Certificate, Training Skills, Computer Skills -Microsoft, Budgeting and menu costing skills, Organisational and time management skills
