HVAC Mechanical Engineer - Chillex

Due to significant growth the Building Information Modelling side of our business we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to complement our highly skilled engineering team who provide engineering support to our Operations group. The focus of the role will be on project technical support, providing advice and direction on engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction results within agreed timeframes. You would ideally have a background in mechanical building services systems and have strong communication, planning and time management skills. You will be involved in the development of BIM concepts and designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and DDS CAD.

The successful candidate will be working on a multitude of commercial and industrial projects working closely with our commercial division in delivering creative solutions and feasibility studies.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to a group and have a practical and common sense approach.

Key Skills and Attributes we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years proven work experience in mechanical engineering and a proven understanding of specifications and drawings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Mechanical/Civil engineering principles, practices and methods
  • Experience in Navisworks, BIM 360 glue AutoCAD and Revit preferable
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of initiative to engage in a change environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve effectively
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a dynamic team
  • Computer literacy in general applications such as MS Word and Excel and MS Project.
