Live-in Caretaker, Handyman & Duty Manager - Auckland Accommodation Ltd

We are looking for an enthusiastic worker to join our team. You need to be reliable, hard-working, friendly and willing to learn. The position will be in a 150-room long-term hostel that is located close to St. Lukes shopping centre. The main duties of the job are:

  • Taking care of the grounds and gardens of the hostel.
  • Doing handyman work such as:
    • Basic plumbing
    • Painting
    • Basic carpentry
    • Fixing door locks
  • Being a duty manager every third weekend, which entails:
    • Processing rents & bonds through our rental management system.
    • Check tenants in and out of our rental management system.
    • Showing potential tenants through the property.
  • Assisting with caretaker work on some of our other properties.

The successful applicant will live in the 1-bedroom apartment on-site which is part of the package. Power, water and internet are also included.

There is a company vehicle for work purposes, so a clean, valid NZ drivers' license is a must.

A knowledge of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows is beneficial, but not essential.
